{DiY} Pipecleaner Pumpkins

I'm sooooo excited to show you what i made today!!....I have been seeing these "wire pumpkins" floating around blogland and on link partys....I was not even gonna attempt workin with wire...soooo I come up with a quicker...cheaper...easier way to make pumpkins and they look sooo much like the wire one.

Let me show you how I did it!...

Supplies:

• 1 bag of orange pipecleaners
• green and orange felt
• cardboard
• hot glue gun
• brown ribbon

OK first thing I did was take 2 pipecleaners and twist them together @ the top and bottom

Make 4 of these
Cut out 2 circles of orange felt * you will use these circles to attach the top and bottom of your pipecleaners

Start hot gluing your pipecleaners to the felt

It will look some what like this
Continue this process on all four "sets" of pipcleaners
Now...cut out leaves on the green felt

Also cut out a little piece of cardboard and a piece of ribbon ** this is going to be for the stem

Cover cardboard with ribbon using hot glue
Now once you have attached the stem and leaves your basically done.
I fanned out my pipcleaners and gave them a boost* so they don't look flat!

I made 2 big pumpkins and a baby pumpkin ** all you do for the baby pumpkin is fold 1 pipecleaner in half and cut ..and repeat the step above**

*Chalkboard Glass Containers*

I'm finally getting around to posting what I made last weekend. Last weekend I went to craft night @ maggie's house in WV and toted with me my thrifty $1 glass containers from Goodwill.  YES!..I got both containers for only $1 each!!  I was sooo excited when I found these because I have been reading this Eco-Crafts book and inside shows how to turn old glass jars into new and improved containers all by using chalk board paint .** I'm now totally obsessed with this chalk board paint! everyone should get some and try it out!!  I'm going to be putting our coffee and sugar in them...I'm sick of using the plastic and yucky containers...I needed something pretty and crafty!!! ;)  I'll show you how I did it.....

Supplies:

• Old glass jars or containers
• chalkboard paint
• brush
• maskin tape

Use the maskin tape to define the area of the jar that will be your chalkboard "label" ** make sure it is pressed securely so no paint smears thru.

Apply your chalkboard paint to the area with your brush

Let dry and apply 2 more coats *5min between each coat

Remove the tape after the last coat. This will ensure clean lines.

It's as simple as that!

My First Button ;)

I'm soooooo excited to have a button, thanks to a wonderful friend Tana over @ Birdseeds.....I love it!!  EVERYONE stop by her blog and check it out!!!  I cant wait to figure out how to do all sorts of cool stuff with my little blog! ;)  Tana is going to post a tutorial on how to make one, so if any other followers would like to add tips,secrets, or anything else to help "Newbies" like me get my blog lookin good just let me know!

*Pacifier Holder & Onesie*

This weekend Me and Taylor {the loving,wonderful boyfriend} are going up to see Mary Taylor and the West Virginia Family!!!  Sooo I decided to whip up a few thing to bring to her.... I took a dollar store pacifier holder and made it new and improved!  I also picked up a plain {pink} onesie and painted a cute saying "Future Crafter".  She is definitely wearing this to craft nite on Sunday ;)


Supplies:

• Pacifier clip
• ribbon or fabric
• Velcro
• fabric glue
• iron

First I took my ugly  dollar store pacifier and cut the ribbon off...measured out my fabric and cut.



I folded the fabric...pinned...and used fabric glue to seal.


After you have glued and ironed flat...flip over and loop the fabric thru the opening


I hot glued it down here to secure the loop...


Add Velcro to opposite end..{this is where the pasi will be held}

Your Finished....I painted over the ugly print and painted the initial M.T. ;)

All I did was take a plain pink onesie and recreate it into a super cute outfit!

*Ghost Wreath*

While I was blog surfing I came across this really cool blog.....Anchor Mommy  She made this super cute and cheap ghost wreath.  Sooooo I decide I would give it a try...here is how mine turned out :)



Supplies:

• Styrofoam wreath
• tissues
• cotton balls
• glue or two sided tape
• sharpie

1. Place cotton ball in center of tissue and gather it around.

   2.  Put a piece of tape to the back of the ghosts head...**I used glue so it would say securely but you can u tape .......Repeat this step until you have covered the whole wreath

  3.  Draw the eyes and mouth on the ghosts' faces with the sharpie...Fan out the tissues to make sure the wreath is completely hidden

  4. Your finished!!....hang and enjoy!!!!

*dorm room picture holders*

This week I decided to make my sister and her roommate Courtney some cute picture holders. My future sis-in-law Leatha gave me this idea. She made a Christmas card holder for hers.  This project is sooo easy and simple I can't wait to show you how to make one for yourself ;)

Supplies

• Cardboard  circle
• clothespins
• fabric or scrapbook paper   *I used fabric
• hot glue gun
• fabric glue
• paint (optional)
• ribbon

First you cut out your cardboard to the desired size....mine measured 15 inches




Then cut your fabric or scrapbook paper to cover the front




Next I covered my cardboard with fabric gluing it down with fabric glue  * *fabric glue I found works best



Cut off excess material from the back



Flip over and start hot gluing down you clothespins ** Also I used the ribbon here....to make a loop so they can hang securely   (see 2 pics below)


Once you have glued the pins down you can start personalizing your picture holder....** I painted my pins and also stenciled  there names in the middle....** I also made a few fabric flowers and added them ...

*Candy Corn Wreath*

I cant wait to share with you this FUN and easy craft me and my mom worked on this weekend!  I was inspired to do the candy corn wreath from seeing the cover of Women's Day magazine. There cover story for October is this beautiful candy corn wreath, here is how I did it...........


Supplies:

• Styrofoam wreath ( mine was 10in. and from dollar tree)
• 2 bags of Brach's candy corn
• roll of duct tape (black)
• ribbon
• hot glue gun

First cover the wreath in duct tape


Next...I started n the center and did one row at a time....I found that this was the best way to get this done quick.
Do one row going left then the next going right. see the pic below

REpeat this process till you have covered the most outer point on your wreath....

 this is what mine looked like before i put the bow on top...* don't forget to leave room @ the top for your bow!

Ta~DA!!!    My finished Candy Corn Wreath!!!!      This is my favorite craft soo far!  It was soo simple and cost only $4 to make!!!     I hope you enjoy! ;)
