DIY Birch Wood Centerpieces

I'm so thrilled to be able to show yall one of my many wedding crafts that I tackled
Everyone remembers that I'm doing a rustic lodge theme right? Well if not, you can take a
 look at it HERE.
This week I had a craft night at my friends Kecia's house, so much fun, loved being able to use my
wood burning tool!
Take a look at what we made.

My Inspiration

My Birch Wood Centerpieces

Here is how I made them

First I heated up my wood burner.

Then I cut out a heart shaped template & traced a heart outline onto the wood.

Take your knife and carve over what you just outlined.

This makes the wood burning step so much easier to do.
I highly recommend you carving a outline.

{what it looks like carved}

Next- take your wood burner and gently glide over your carved area.

Pretty neat huh? These were so quick & simple to make.
I thought they turned out perfect!

Stay tuned for more of my DIY wedding crafts!

  1. I really like that. I like that it's natural, I like seeing people make creations out of wood. this is something you can use for home decor as well. I hope your wedding goes exactly how you plan it! I know everything will look great.

  15. Hi! I'm curious where you got the wood. This is exactly what I want to do for my wedding, next June. I've considered picking up pieces during my weekend hikes, but I'm not sure if they'll be too moist or dirty.
