Chalkboard Valentine Craft {tutorial}

I hope everyone had a great weekend!
It was crafts and football for us, so I had plenty of time to get caught up on my
many Valentines projects.

One craft I'm super excited to show you is:

Chalkboard Valentine

here's how to do it

Supplies
chalkboard paint, brush, cardboard heart
**hot glue{not pictured}**
ribbon{optional}

Ok...first I have to confess how obsessed I am with
chalkboard paint..I LOVE IT..I would paint our fridge with it
if Taylor would let me lol.

Now the important stuff!..

First you cover you Cardboard heart with the paint.

do 2-3 coats...Let dry for about 20 minutes.

Next is the ribbon...My Valentine need something, so I found my $.50 holiday ribbon
whipped out the hot glue gun and made a trim...

divide your ribbon in half and hot glue the top
{should look like this}
then just glue it around the side

Before

After

See it totally need that ribbon!!!

Now just write your sweet message and display!

Enjoy!

  5. Love this! I wonder if I can find smaller wooden hearts; these would make great valentines for my boys to give out to there class. I hate paper valentines 'cause I know they just get tossed, so I have my boys make something every year. Last year we made heart crayons, and the year before that we made candy airplanes. This is a great idea! Thanks.
