I'm learning to "not sweat the small stuff" in life.
&
Let me tell you it's not easy, It's going to take a lot of work.
But, I'm willing to do it because life is to short to let the "little things" run my life.
I'm learning to let go and not care about what others think.
To stop worrying over things that I think are a "big deal"
When in the end its all just "little things"
Nothing to get upset over and let it ruin your day.
I'm learning how to have compassion for others.
To put myself in others shoes.
To be thankful for what I do have.
and to
Stop obsessing over the things that I want.
Mother Teresa said these great words:
"We cannot do great things on this earth. We can only do small things with love"
So I made the sign above to act as a reminder.
I printed it out and stuck it on my bathroom mirror.
I keep telling myself over and over
Don't sweat the small stuff!
I'm currently reading the book:
Don't sweat the small stuff...and it's all small stuff
By: Richard Carlson, PH.D
--simple ways to keep little things from taking over your life.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
Great post! Learning to not sweat the small stuff is easier said than done for sure!
ReplyDeleteSomething I've always struggled with!
That is something that I've been working on for quite a few years. Having my daughters has helped me a lot with letting things go and just enjoying my life. You can do it!
ReplyDeleteWonderful post! I have a print hanging in our room that says "do small things with great love" :)
ReplyDeleteGreat post! I try not to sweat the small stuff either, but it's easier said than done. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic post and this is very fitting for me right now. Thanks for posting this!
ReplyDeletethat's so true Andrea, well said. I'm still learning to put little things into perspective and look at the bigger picture. It's so easy to look down and see only my little feet, but when I look up, I see a God that's so awesome. Thanks for the little reminder.

You said it!!! I'm super guilty of stressing over things that don't really matter. I like the mantra of, "Will this still bother me in a year?" Most often it won't.
