The hubby surprised me with this beauty for a long weekend!
We took advantage of the last days of summer and took off to
the western part of North Carolina.
We had a fun filled weekend packed full of adventure.

The area we stayed and hiked in was called
"The Lad of The Waterfalls"
There are 260 waterfalls just in Transylvania County.
Amazing huh?
Have you ever been to the fair?
Well, can you believe that I've never been to a fair--EVER.
I can now say--I've been to the fair.
We had such a wonderful time.
Come to find out, they will and can deep fry anything.
even Oreo's!!
I was like a little kid--I loved everything about it!
We attended our very first Pig Race--so much fun.
&
rode the chairlift over the whole park at sunset.
The day before we left we decided to get on the Blue Ridge Parkway
and hit up some hiking trails.
We hiked a few trails and took some amazing pictures.

Sounds like the BEST weekend! So glad you finally got to go to a fair! :) haha... Looks like a beautiful place you got to visit! This weekend we went to ANOTHER fair, this month... heehee. That's kind of what we do tho... ;)
