My First Handbag & Free Pattern

Have you ever been so anxious or intimidated by a project before?
Well, this was me this week!
Like I said here, patterns and handbags intimidate me.
I have always wanted to make a one, just been to scared to try.
I took a leap of faith this week and tried out this pattern.

I just want to say a big thanks to Sara over at Craft Snob
and Donna from Sewing Mends The Soul for this free pattern.

I was very pleased with this tutorial.
It was very easy to read, I had no problems
following the step-by-step instructions.
If you looking for handbag pattern,  I highly recommend doing this one!
You will be very pleased with the results. I know I was.

Take a look at my

I absolutely love my new bag!

**Fabric from Hancock Fabrics--$2.50 yd
no joke this fabric was on CLEARANCE!**

**I found coordinating fabric to match the inside and top band
also on CLEARANCE for $2.50**

**Bought 2 yards of interfacing at Hobby Lobby for $1.99 yd**

With the help of my MIL we made this amazing handbag.
So many people have told me that it looks like a Vera Bradley.

  2. That fabric is absolutely amazing!! You did a great job with it! I like making purses because you can customize it to your needs. I like to add a pocket the exact size of my cell phone and another long one for pens. What are you going to make next??
